Question by Christina: Anyone know where I can get a stamped tablecloth?
I’m in need of a stamped table cloth that’s at least 104″ in length. I’d prefer the design to be something floral or with birds or butterflies or both. I have searched on Ebay and cannot find anything. I have no found anything online either. I am currently living overseas so I cannot go downtown and pick on up where I am. Just curious to know if anyone knew of a place online I could find one. Thanks!
I mean a stamped tablecloth for embroidering.

I’m not sure but I can offer two substitutes. First, you need to go out and buy a regular table cloth. Next, you can either go to the post office and buy a pile of stamps or go to Office Depot or Staples and buy some ink stamps. After you have your preferred type of stamps, you can then proceed to either stick them all over your table cloth or use your ink pads to ink stamp your entire table cloth! How’s that?!

HI, I have 3 young children and every time they so much as walk by the table, the table cloth gets messed up. Is there some trick or product to keep that sucker in place that wont damage the table or the cloth. Some way besides taping the bottom, which hasn’t worked either?

The hotel I’m having my wedding at provides 42in tables but plastic tablecloths do not come square, but if we cut the 54×108 table cloths in half, they would be square and leave a 6in drop on every side, but is that long enough or would it look weird?

You give the length but not the width of the table, which is equally important.
The real question here is: How far down do you want the tablecloth to hang?
If the width is, say, 36,” and you want it to hang down one foot all around, then get a tablecloth 10 feet long by 5 ft. wide. (One foot extra for each of both sides and both ends of the table.)

I have my first nice dining table that we will use mostly for holiday family dinners. At those times we will seat 10. I’m trying to decide if I want to invest in a tablecloth that will fit the fully extended table or if individual linen placements will be a better purchase. I know I could use a pad underneath the tablecloth for more protection of the table than I will get from placements. Just looking for ideas!

I just purchased a new dining set. The wood is an espresso dark brown. Chairs have ivory with espresso brown pattern (pretty busy pattern). It’s beautiful. However, now I don’t know what color tablecloth I should order to have on hand for dinner parties.
I got a palette of color samples. I originally thought to go with the same “espresso” brown with the same color napkins, so that my simple ivory color china would “pop”. That way, nothing would be noticeable in the room aside from the china and crystal. However, my mom thinks I should go with ivory. If I do this, the ivory china, will kind of melt into the tablecloth.
What is the rule on this? Or, what are suggestions for matching table linens to china?

I really think your Mom is right . This would look very elegant and simple. Beautiful. But you could also go with the Espresso napkins. The china and chrystal would look great.

i am having a hard time finding a tablecloth to fit our square table. the largest i have been able to find is 90×90″–which covers the top of the table but doesnt have any overhang. do they make square tablecloths any larger than 90×90″? if so, where can i find one? thanks!

I am sure that there are places on the internet that would offer larger table cloths …but…my suggestion is this….
Go to a fabric store so you can pick out the exact color, texture, and pattern of fabric you would like to have for your table. This way you could even get enough to make matching napkins, chair covers, or even window treatments.
sounds like a table cloth about 100 inches x 100 inches would be adequate to cover your table.
Take the fabric to a seamstress who will not charge you very much to make a table cloth and napkins. These are very simple to make. it is a basic simple stitching around the edges. Even someone with very limited sewing skills could do this for you.
