…style!!! I am talking about those sexy large cotton cloth napkins like they show in mafia movies. You know, when the mafioso godfather dude guy is eating at an Italian restaurant and he has a napkin tied behind his neck (usually in a lovely sky blue checkered pattern on white, but I’m flexible) that reaches down the front of his shirt. It’s not a table cloth, it’s a very large cotton napkin and I need some.
I need hot mafia-style napkins or else my hot dog mustard gets all over my top. =( (I don’t want a bib coz that’s not badass enough).
So what are they called and which online store sells them? Idk what they’re called!!! I googled “large cloth napkins” but they’re not big enough. Also…they need to be 100% cotton coz the mafioso lips like Edward G Robinson’s Little Caesar would NEVER touch polyester and mine won’t either.

my husband and my anniversary is coming up and i would like to turn the apartment into an Italian restaurant for when he comes home for work. SO far the only ideas i have came up with is a red and white checkered table cloth along with some Italian music playing in the back round. i prefer all the songs on the burned cd to have that Italian sound with no words but the first song i want to be billy joels song scenes from an Italian restaurant. Does anybody have any ideas on how to decorate that wont cost so much since its only 1 night or any other ideas….i really need help trying to find these songs with no words though-

Answer by bainaashanti Well, there’s always the wine bottle with the candle burning in it. If you can borrow one of those bistro tables, that would be good, other wise a card table would probably suffice. If you can find cheap Italian movie posters somewhere, or even go to a travel agent and get some flyers or posters of Italy. An Italian flag draped somewhere would add to the atmosphere. You can have tiramisu for dessert in one of those trifle bowels and use it as your center piece. Hope some of that helped. Congratulations!
