Question by : Black Light/Glow in the Dark Rave Party Ideas?
Im having a 14th birthday party so it needs to be appropriate. im a girl and inviting around 10 – 15 girls, so far im going to hang black cloth all around the party room so it will be pitch black and splatter glow stick goop everywhere and im putting in a strobe light, black lights and a fog machine. im going to play loud and fun, fast music and having a table for food. im telling everyone to wear as much white as they can in the inventions. its gunna be a surprise! shhhh. were hanging glowing stars and were thinking about putting black light bubbles in our bubbles machine. And were hanging glow sticks everywhere. and maybe a disco ball… basically its gunna be a glow in the dark/black light party!! DO you have any suggestions what to eat, games and things to do like REALLY fun stuff? Please answer! do u suggest any type of music or games please help me i want people to be talking about this for a lonnggg time!!! i want it to be unforgettable! Thank you!!!!! <3

People keep asking what our “theme” is and what our colors are. I don’t know what to tell them. Given these details..what would you say?
Spring Wedding, early afternoon ceremony and reception, semi casual, outside in a garden or park. We are using the landscape of the park or garden as our eye candy…so we will be doing little decorating ourselves. Simple decor. All white tables with white linens, white chairs, white place setting. I want to grow our own flowers in my garden.
The day of the wedding, pick the flowers and put them in glass vases and jars with water. These will be the centerpieces for the reception. Every table may have different color flowers- yellow flowers, red, pink, orange, red, purple…whatever grows from my garden. The cake will be white with flowers cascading down..but haven’t made a decision what color the flowers on the cake will be.
Appetizerers served (not a full meal), cake, punch.
so what should i tell people when they ask about the theme and color scheme? thanks

Question by : ideas for a kids table?
I’m going to have a fall wedding and i’d like to have some really creative and fun ideas for a kids table, they will be younger children and toddlers. I’ve already decided to have some pumpkins to decorate with the jack o lantern stickers and brown paper “table cloth” to draw on. Any other ideas?

Answer by onlytryingtohelp all that matters is serious supervision because otherwise they will be rioting in five minutes. You’d be better having a separate playroom for them as they will never stay at a table.

Question by Kari: Need ideas on decorating a church gym for my wedding…on an extremely tight budget?
My head is about ready to explode. I am to be married on the tenth of January in our Church’s gym. We chose it because it is completely free, plus we will have the use of the kitchen, table cloths and nursery. The only problem is, we are on extremely tight budget. So far I have the centerpieces taken care of and we have bought tons of clear xmas lights to use for decoration. Our colors are pretty easy…several different shades of blue and then white and silver. Sort of going by a wintery theme. I have an aisle runner…other than that…NOTHING! I have to create some kind of arch that we can stand under as well. PLEASE HELP! I am lost! I just want it to be really nice.

Answer by tashaocmd2 We had a lattice garden arch. I believe we borrowed it from a neighbor. I suppose the same item can be rented from a rental service, the kind that rents tables, chairs, tents, etc. See the link below.
Or you can use two small tables covered with pretty cloth and flowers on either side of the “alter”.

Here’s what i’ve got so far:
A neon themed party with black table cloths, and the entire garage (its huge) will be draped in black. there will be blacklights overhead the guests, and everyone will wear jeans and plain white t-shirts. when they arrive, my liasons will hand out glowsticks, glowjewelry, all that stuff, and there will also be paint buckets around them. they will paint each other w/ washable neon paint. there will be music playing, kinda like a rave, wih refreshments and junk. in the part where i’m entering, fog machnes will suddenly turn on, and i enter, BAM! the party goes on..
oh, also, there will be a big banner (blank; white) and everyone will sign it during the party with highlighters..
any more suggestions to make it better?
