Question by jekwon122: What color couch would look good with a light wood coffee table?
the coffee table is actually light wood color but with some laquer on it to make it look a bit orangey-red. (sorri dont know what the color is actually called.) i need to go get a couch and dont know what color to get. my tv/media storage cabinet is same color as coffee table, carpet is cream and walls are white.

I am having a 20th party for my parents next year and I have bought glass round huricanes with a hanging piece to put a candle in it and in the glass I am putting glass marbles… I bought small round candle holders in a nice bronze color to put around the centerpiece. My fav. color is hot pink, but everything I have looked up is more fushia than pink. I need a color to go with fushia. So far, for the ceremony I have white chairs, fushia sashes, white canapy/arch with fushia w/ sparkle overlay (not too much), down the isle was white connecter(tulle) and little pink flowers attached too each chair (better idea??) The runner i white and I am having fushia/hot pink flowers down the sides of the runner and around the arch/canapy as well. I think the bridesmaids dress should be the hotpink color as well. As for the bouquets I want a full hotpink roses w/ ??? Dont know yet. Also, what color type of flowers for the arch??
The reception is sort of the same white chair covers, satin fushia sash, circle tables w/ white tables linen, fushia satin runner?? I have no idea for a center piece. I need help w/ a color to cornante in there and where to add it in?? I am considering pink fingernail tips?? Any idea would help.. And I dont need to know places to go. I know where to go. I just needed ideas. Thanks

I’m feeling really partial to the Futura LT Book, and depending on the color of the coffee table (not that it really matters), I think a nice rich brown for the book versus a brighter/lighter cool color or white for the text.

im using silver decor.. like the napkin’s ring, and the tableware. wat do u think about that??
im using coral,only for the flower bouquet and centerpieces,not for the table decor. im gonna mix it up 
for the centerpieces- peach,coral and ivory.

My wedding colors are canary yellow and pool blue so I was thinking, having a blue tablecloth and a yellow table-runner. I bought everything that goes on the tables and set it up (just enough for one table) to see how it would look. I thought it was beautiful. I needed a second opinion so I decided to show my sister. When she saw them, she goes “Ewww!” She said having colored tablecloths at a wedding is very tacky and I should stick with white. I was just wondering, I know this is my wedding and I can basically do whatever I please with the decorations (considering me and my fiance are paying for everything), if it is tacky to do this. I don’t want my wedding to look like a birthday party or something.
Also, I have vases on the tables with blue and yellow flowers in them, just wondering if having blue and yellow table cloths would be a bit too much.

I would say chose whatever you want. If you say that it was beautiful, then I take your word for it. If you think it may be a little over the top, then just have a ivory or white table cloth with the yellow table runner.
But what the heck, you be the judge!

I am planning to remodel my parents’ kitchen with limited. The cabinets are old and muddy. But the tiles and the table top are still in good condition (pink in color). So with the liminted budget, I am intending to only change the cabinets but maintain the tiles and table top. Any advise?

Ok if you choose to buy new cabinets I’d go with a cream or off white color. However If the cabinets they have are in good condition besides being old and muddy. ( Meaning the doors and cabinets are solid) You could just hire a painter to paint them and hire a tile refinishing service to re glaze the tile in any color you want and probably still not spend what you would spend to buy new cabinets.
If you’d rather not have painted cabinets and the cabinets are in good condition besides being old look into have the cabinets refaced with new doors and drawer fronts and matching side panel coverings for about half the cost of new cabinets and then hire the tile re-glazers. You’ll end up with a much nicer kitchen that will look alot more updated.
