Question by Kenny K: How do you properly clean a marble table top?
I have a marble table and it has water marks from glasses and other marks all over it. I bought the special cleaner for marble counter tops but it is not doing anything. Do I need to by the special polish? No matter how hard I scrub these marks will not disappear? Please let me know any ideas you may have. Thanks.

I have the same issue with my marble top coffee table. The problem is that it was not sealed properly. All I can suggest is that you remove the marks as best you can and them seal the marble before there’s any more damage. I used a Mr.MagicEraser on my table and it removed some of the stains, but not all. Good luck.

Question by Gabrielle ♡: What can you do to safely clean a wood kitchen table?
Our kitchen table is pretty new, only a couple months old. We have a two year old and well he’s a messy eater (like all little kids), LOL. What can I do to safely clean the kitchen table? It’s made of a very nice mahogany wood and I want to keep it looking nice. Short of using furniture polish every day, what can I do for a quick clean in between polishings?
I don’t know where else to put this, so bear with me putting it in the parenting section. I figured other moms might know!

I’ve had a lovely wooden kitchen table and I’m about to have my 4th child under 5, so it’s dirty everyday:)
I’ve used soap and water everyday and that works fine for a clean (make sure it is dried though).
I love a polish before the hubby gets home, it makes the room sparkle.

If you do, wash them on a hand wash cycle with cold water using Woolite. You can also try Dryel, to dry clean in your dryer.

I have learned the hard way that when it says dry clean, dry clean. So you have to decide if your garmet is not worth dry cleaning—if not, go ahead and try it knowing that it may never look the same again.

I have friends and cousins that don’t mind doing it, I kinda feel bad but they already offered. Thanks for the input, now can you recommend a place that rents them out? I have looked at linennstuff.com but other suggestions would help, thank you

Question by Jake: How do I clean a silverfinish coffee table?
I just bought a really nice silverfinish coffee table from Lee Longlands. It’s wooden but it has some kind of metallic-looking coating of paint all over it. Thing is, I don’t have a clue how to clean it and I don’t want to damage the finish. Do I just clean it with a damp cloth, or polish, or what?
Thanks in advance.

I would use nothing more than a microfiber cloth and water. Microfiber cloths clean without chemicals.
I wouldn’t risk using any chemical on the coffee table…even plain vinegar could damage the silver.
Just clean with a damp microfiber and buff dry with a dry microfiber.
You can buy microfiber cloths just about anywhere these days…Walmart, Target, K-mart, Home Depot, even Dollar General.
Hope this helps.
